The IDF is the most moral army in the world

Israel always claims that the IDF – known as Israeli Occupation Forces throughout Palestine – is the most moral army in the world. We all know just how big a lie that is. But we need to remind ourselves

Caution: explicit violent images below. This is the reality of the war:

  1. but why gaza attacks israel? are this humans with no brains? everyone has the right to fire back.

  2. jack,

who do you think killed those kids? israel attacking the places where there are missiles, or they are firing the missiles from, or the parents of the palestinians letting them be there? or putting them on porpouse? WHO IS THE ANIMAL HERE??

  3. iair: who do you think killed those kids? israel attacking the places where there are missiles, or they are firing the missiles from, or the parents of the palestinians letting them be there? or putting them on porpouse? WHO IS THE ANIMAL HERE??

I have witnessed some truly idiotic posts before but you take the biscuit, so you suggest that the parents of the Palestinian children killed had them placed there on purpose, [some abuse deleted – no need for attacking someone in those terms]

  4. The interesting thing is that pro Zionist trolling has become utterly unproductive – it only reinforces opposition to Israel’s war crimes.

@11Children have died in Gaza, which is unfortunate

It’s not just unfortunate. It’s the direct product of using heavy munitions in one of the most densely populated areas on earth. We can only conclude that the aim of the IDF is to terrorize the people of Gaza.

@11you are caught between silence and apologetics on behalf of the killers…

The lack of self-awareness here would be laughable if it wasn’t so pathetic.

Another Zio fanboy lying about Galloway. Why am I not surprised?

For the record here’s George making his position on Syria clear. He’s not a supporter of Assad in any way and specifically says he backs democratic revolution in Syria but points out that some of the rebels are extremely nasty far right Al Qaeda types whose regime should they come to power would be even worse than Assad.

  7. I’ve deleted a couple of the more ridiculous posts, so some of the comments won’t make sense.

If the pics are from a different place, that’s obviously a problem of the internet, where things get passed around quickly. I’ve not got a clue – and the point is, in any event Israel does this and far worse all the time. It’s supposed to be a moral beacon of light. It invites us to hold it to a higher standard – remember all the stuff about how Israel is a western-style country surrounded by barbarians on all sides?

Israel is judged by the standards it sets for itself.

And its interior minister has just said, 2 days ago, that Israel intends to “send Gaza back to the middle ages”.

In a sense, those words tell a greater story than any number of pictures. The Zionist occupying racist settlers in Palestine have publically declared that they intend to remove the ability of Gazans to live. Middle ages – no power, no medicine, no education, no ability to preserve or properly cook food.

That’s what the Zionists have promised for Gaza.

So, I tell you what, on John’s behalf I’ll say “if the pics aren’t accurate, we’ll accept it” – cos now, you’ve all got to explain to us why the children of Gaza are being promised that they will not be allowed to have medicine, heat, light, food, education, shelter etc.

Please explain it. You can use pictures if you like. Perhaps pictures of one of the thousands – tens of thousands – of murders committed by Zionist troops and Zionist settlers on the people of Palestine over the decades.

  8. CJB,

unfortunately i am not suggesting anything, i was an officer at the israeli army and i had seen it. what part of “we love death as much as they love life” don’t you understand?
of course it is not everybody, and may be not the 10% , that i dont know (and i dont go there just lying about it) but i do know that they are those with the power, with the guns, and hiding it in the buildings of the poor palestinian living his miserable life under the hamas government
you would believe israelies are killing machines or something like that, being the only western and REALLY democratic civilization in the middle east, but you wouldn’t believe the terrorists from hamas hide and throw missilies from houses?

  9. iair: israelies are killing machines or something like that, being the only western and REALLY democratic civilization in the middle east

Er, and what exactly (apart from behaving as a killing machine) is a Western country doing in the middle of the Middle East?

And by the way, its interesting how Israel is constantly described as a ‘democracy’, when over 40% of the people in the territory it controls have no vote on Israel’s policies.

  10. How many Israeli kids have Hamas killed? There seems to be a lot of images being recycled on the internet for propoganda purposes.

  11. iair: unfortunately i am not suggesting anything, i was an officer at the israeli army and i had seen it. what part of “we love death as much as they love life” don’t you understand?

Actually I understand quite a bit regarding the situation over there, and I’m sorry but you did suggest that the children “Might” have been placed there by the parents on purpose which is idiotic, I also understand and have heard the comments made by Hamas, and how do you think Hamas and the Palestinians should react to their lands stolen, homes destroyed, people killed, being in the Israeli forces and an officer at that only tells me that you view is seriously biased, also iair there are plenty of Jewish people in Israel and around the world who oppose what is taking place over there, are they all ignorant to the real situation as well?

  12. Greg: How many Israeli kids have Hamas killed? There seems to be a lot of images being recycled on the internet for propoganda purposes.

What a great question, Greg. The answer is, a tiny tiny tiny number. 4. Four. Since 2004.

It’s 4 too many, of course. But the number matters, because in the same period, Israel has killed around 1,100 Palestinian children.

Are you still concerned about propaganda?

  13. Dave,

So setting aside the red herring of where these dead children were photographed, are you saying they could not have been taken in Gaza? Have children in Gaza been killed by the IF or not?

  14. There is no doubt that the IDF are killing children in Gaza, and have been doing for decades. But if these pictures are not correctly sourced then that is a failure and you should look to address what went wrong.

  15. The picture of the four children lying dead on the cart, for example, are children belonging to the al-Dalo family. They were killed in an Israeli air strike and the picture was taken in a hospital morgue in Gaza City on November 18.

The picture is attributed to REUTERS/Mohammed Salem

Again, this is an attempted smokescreen and sadly some are falling for it.

  16. John,

    Indeed John.

The trolls seem to be strangers to Occam’s razor. It is not in dispute that children have been effectively murdered by the IDF. It is also not in dispute that people in Gaza have the wherewithal and opportunity to diseminate photos of the atrocity. The overwhelmingly most likely explanation is that the photos are genuine. But in any event children have been killed by the Israelis

Milton Keynes Palestinian Solidarity Campaign and Milton Keynes Stop the War Group held a joint information stall to raise awareness of the current situation in Gaza in Central Milton Keynes today (19/11/2012).

A very good turnout of supporters collected signatures on a petition condemning the recent military action by the Israeli government in Gaza. Leaflets were also handed out to the public and were well received as was the petition. Many people signed our petition and at one point we even had a queue of people demanding to sign it!

This was successful day of action by both groups and if the Israeli military action continues against Gaza then another street information stall / leafleting session may be held in the very near future (details will be available on the Milton Keynes Against The Cuts web site).

  18. John: Again, this is an attempted smokescreen and sadly some are falling for it.

And of course even if you take the pictures out of the equation, they seem to disappear rather than come back and answer awkward questions about plans to “send Gaza back to the middle ages”…

  19. Perhaps my earlier comment was misjudged. Going by the pro-Israeli trolls all over the internet, not to mention the protesters in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem cheering on the murder of Palestinians, ‘stupid’ is not the best adjective to use. Savage, arrogant, racist, vile, delusional, fanatical and psychotic all seem far more apt.

Back in the ’80s Spitting Image had a song called “I’ve Never Met A Nice South African.” It would appear to be equally difficult to find voices of restraint. basic humanity and decency within Israel. Instead, we see the same old sense of arrogance, entitlement and superiority that inevitably accompanies any colonial project. Israel is like some particularly deranged bully, land-grabbing, blockading, occupying and killing, whilst always self-righteously demanding that those under its heel acknowledge its ‘right to exist.’ How can that be anything other than a very unpleasant sight indeed?

  22. #60 + 61 Both sides to the conflict in Syria will be able to come up with evidence of their support for the Palestinians.

Conflating the two issues just confuses matters, as does over simplifying and pretifying the history of the relationship between the Palestinian cause and the Ba’athist regime.

There has been a historic failure by all the regimes in the region to act in the best interests of the Palestinians, which has manifested itself in varying ways and degrees.

It will be interesting to see how much has now changed in terms of anything the new Egyptian government is able to achieve.

    Posting error acknowledged.

I cannot agree with the essential point you make. Capitalist regimes, local or external, will pursue their own particular interests within the region. ‘Support’ for Palestinians (or Syrians) will be offered cynically. Forces fighting against capitalist regimes (not homogenous forces of course) will be open to such cynical manipulation, however it is wrong to equate a resistance force with a capitalist state, whether in Syria or in Gaza. The former has, at the very least, a greater potentiality for human advance.

Yes, the IDF is indiscriminately slaughtering civilians, including children like 2 year old Ibrahim Mohammed. As always.

And the IDF can and does kill as many people in 10 seconds with one bomb as all those famous rockets have killed in 10 years. It is extremely obvious who is the aggressor here and who is “retaliating”, albeit ineffectually. The IDF would no doubt be a hell of a lot less keen to attack the Palestinians if they had some proper weapons to fight back with.

No, I am not asking about how the war started.
I don’t care who did what to whom.
I am simply asking, for the love of humanity, for the love of Allah, for the love of whatever God you believe in; Why? Why? Why?

While everybody is arguing about who is right, and who is wrong, God is watching, and he is crying…
